Great Weekend

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend in Illinois. We got to see everyone, and it was really relaxing.

Also, it looks like we can get Miri's tooth fixed for less than $150.

Lots going on...

This is the time of the year when things are really happening quickly. The kids are in their last week of school, and all of the summer duties have kicked in. Mowing the lawn, tending to the garden, attending Miri's soccer games, and general maintenance of the house.

On top of that I tend to work out more this time of year, so I'm just pooped.

Anyway, can't complain about anything, except that the Cardinals are sucking it up right now. April was so good, but May has been a real downer.

The Gardens are planted

We went to the nursery down Verona/Caney road on Sunday and pretty much got all the plants we needed for the gardens for $3.10. That's a crazy price. I am never buying from a store again.

Anyway, we have tomatoes, beets, carrots, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, onions, green beans, peppers, and potatoes all planted. Hopefully they all do well. The soil in all of the gardens seems to be developing into much better quality as the years go on. We just continue to work in the compost we make.

I'm so glad that Spring is here

I have been spending the last few weeks mowing the lawn, getting the gardens ready for planting, and other generally Spring-like tasks. Being out in the sun, working to tame my own piece of earth is so fun and rewarding. I forget sometimes, during the winter, how wonderful this time of year really is.

Anyway, lettuce, spinach, and onions are all growing wonderfully. I just put beans in this morning. Everything else will probably get put in next week. Can't wait to start reaping the harvest.

Audra wants chickens really badly, but I think it will have to wait until next year due to the financial situation.

Just thought I'd give everyone an update.

300,000 and still going strong...

As you can guess from the title of this post, the Tempo finally hit 300,000 miles today. What a car. Thank you for selling it to me Jim Mallrich.

As a "Birthday" present to her, I bought a new dual 10" vented subwoofer box for my subs.

Yeah!!!

Seriously, how many of you have ever put 266,000 miles on a vehicle?

Tile Project is DONE

Well, we finally tiled in front of the fireplace. Let me know what you think.

Busch Stadium Seats

I have finished restoring the pair of Busch Stadium seats we ordered online. What do you think? Everything works perfectly. It's so cools having a piece of Old Busch Stadium to top off our new Cardinals Room.

First Spring Training game is today. Baseball is officially back...FINALLY!!!

If Pujols has been playing for 6 years with pain in his elbow (like he says) then I can't wait to see what he will do this year with no pain. Do I hear 60 HR campaign?
